OFFICE SPACE FOR RENT AT DPC

The Desert Pride Center currently has two private unfurnished offices to rent for daytime use. One office, approximately 100 square feet, rents for $250/month. The other is approximately 120 square feet, has windows, and rents for $300/month. All utilities are furnished except telephone. No secretarial support or use of copy machines, etc., is provided. DPC SEEKS PART-TIME ADMIN ASSISTANT

DPC is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. Qualifications include: excellent computer skills in MS Word, detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as a team member. Must be 55+ and cannot be earning more than $1,088/month. Position is 20 hours/wk; minimum wage starting at $6.75/hr. with medical insurance and vacation benefits. Position is through the Riverside County Office of the Aging Senior Employment Program. Geared toward seniors seeking to reenter the workforce, the program provides employment in community service or the private sector for job training and placement. Salaries are paid directly through Office of the Aging. THE CENTER SEEKS COMMITEE VOLUNTEERS

The Coachella Valley is home to a huge population of incredibly talented people, many of whom are retired or semi-retired. The Desert Pride Center is a fairly young organization that is in need of this talent in order to continue with our rapid growth.

If you have experience in publishing, layout (Microsoft Publisher), writing or editing, our Public Relations Committee could use your assistance. Finance, banking, investment and accounting skills would aid our Finance Committee. Grant writing, endowment and charitable giving skills are needed by our Grant Committee. Fund raising and events planning expertise would assist that committee. And, there are many other skills we haven’t even thought of!
